Acton sits between the A40 and the Park Royal estates, which gives it an unusual mix: fast trunk-road traffic on one side, dense Victorian terraces on the other, and a lot of commercial vehicles moving between the two.

Much of W3 is Victorian terrace with cars parked on both sides and no driveways. A long tilt-and-slide frequently cannot get alongside the vehicle, and in some streets cannot turn at all.
The answer is usually a van, or a Hiab lifting from the nearest point a truck can safely stand. When you call, give us the street name — we can generally tell from that what is going to fit.
Western Avenue runs along the north of Acton and carries fast, heavy traffic towards Hanger Lane in one direction and central London in the other. The slip roads and the junctions with Old Oak and Gypsy Corner are common incident points.
As with any fast dual carriageway, do not stand beside the vehicle in a live lane. Get clear, call 999 if it is blocking, and let us arrange the recovery once it is safe.
